Terms of Use
The rules for using this site and its tools. Last updated 3 October 2026.
Who you're dealing with
SomeTool.ie is run by Monterra, SL, a company registered in Andorra at Carrer de l'Aigueta 19, 1r Pis, 3a Porta, Andorra la Vella AD500, Andorra. Niall Doherty runs it. “We” and “us” below mean that company. Reach us at niall@sometool.ie.
By using this site you accept what follows. If you don't, please don't use it.
A tool's answer is a guide, not advice
The tools are free and built with care. Each one that depends on a rate says where the figure came from and the date it applies from. But an answer from a tool is an estimate, not financial, tax or legal advice, and it's only as good as what you put in. Rates change, your own circumstances can change the sum, and a tool can be wrong.
Before you rely on a figure for something that matters (a redundancy settlement, a tax return, an invoice, a payment), check it with the official source the page names, or with an accountant, solicitor or adviser.
Using the site
Use the tools as often as you like, for yourself or your work, and share them with anyone. What's not fine is scraping the site, copying the tools, code or written content onto another site, reselling them, trying to break the site, or using it for anything unlawful.
Who owns what's on the page
The tools, code, copy, design and drawings are ours or licensed to us. The answers a tool gives you are yours to use however you like.
What you send us
An idea you send through the request form stays yours. Sending it lets us reply to you and, for a public tool, build it for the site, free for everyone, without owing you anything for the idea. If you'd rather keep an idea to yourself, ask for a private tool instead. How we handle what you send is set out in the privacy policy.
Paid private tools
A private tool is built under a separate written agreement: the quote and terms we send you and you accept. Those terms govern that work, and where they and this page disagree, they win. This page only covers the public site.
Other websites
We link to official sources and a few other sites. We don't run them and aren't responsible for what's on them.
What we do and don't stand over
We work to keep the site up and the tools accurate and up to date, but we can't promise it will never be down, out of date or wrong. So far as the law allows, we're not liable for any loss from using the site or from relying on a tool's answer. Nothing in that sentence limits liability that can't legally be limited: death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top says when it last changed.
Governing law
These terms, and anything that comes out of them, are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away any protection you have under the law of the country you live in.
